São Paulo will be given another fashion event. From 09 to 12 September at Terraço Daslu there will take place the 1st issue of Brazil Fashion Week [Semana de Moda Brasil] with 2008/2009 spring-summer fashion shows from important fashion brands. Seven issue of Teen Fashion will include an advertising campaign based on Japanese culture movement and the celebrations for the centennial anniversary of their immigration to Brazil, with explicit referents to a Japan with future teenagers. In order to create the campaign main illustration, a drawing with manga-syle lines by graffiti, we called upon artist Rodrigo Yokota (Whip), who used his long experience gained in trips and jobs undertaken on the other side of the world.

Designer brief for Colombo Fashion Week, which focuses on collection for season 2009-10 and guides both international and regional participating designers, has been released.According to the established norms, designers across the globe create six collections in total, of which, three are major collections while the balance are the smaller ones. Most of the markets and retail spaces follow this pattern. Colombo Fashion Week. A total of 20 fashion shows along with seminars and workshops will be hosted from February 18 to 21 where regional fashion designers will play a crucial role.In 2009, Colombo Fashion Week will enter the second year of its three year plan that aims at finding potential markets for Sri Lankan designers in countries like India. The show also gives opportunities and encouragement to young aspiring designers.

The latest industry figures published by the European Outdoor Group (EOG) show a confident industry, with over 85% of members revealing that they felt either as confident, or more confident than in the same period for the previous year. The figures provided by the EOG members have been analysed and compared with previous years and show over three-quarters of members reported an increase in their domestic market sales in 2007, with just under two thirds reporting an increase of 4% or more.Lifestyle clothing continues to be a key driving force across the industry sector with almost 95% of correspondents reporting an increase, followed by just over 80% for otwear and over 75% for equipment.
Almost three-quarters of companies have reported increases in the number of employees and over half have reported an increase in marketing / promotional spend in 2007 compared with the previous year.Growth is expected to continue into 2008 with three-quarters of EOG members forecasting increases. There is however a note of caution with the continued rise in domestic costs and fuel prices expected to have an impact on purchase levels.

Narendra Kumar's Autumn/Winter 2008 men's wear collection at Lakme Fashion Week was a rocking racy affair showing that young India was all ready to GET SET GO, the title of the line.From sporty jackets to sharply cut suits and from form fitting shirts to skinny trousers; the look was young trendy but very practical and wearable. Leather was used for full jackets or trousers or as interesting trims for jackets, trousers and shirts. There was a touch of embroidery on the shoulders or back of the garments or cotton pigment patchwork. Fabrics for the trousers were treated with tie dye, or twin tone corduroy and denim was just black. Jacket lengths were very short or extra long with a single vent back and two buttons.
Detailing was large bellow flap pockets for jackets, chevrons on the sides of leather cropped jackets, short collars, leather epaulets or on side seams of trousers, piping to highlight collars and yokes and concealed plackets for added style.The casual wear line of cotton tees and shirts with chinos or denims and the formalwear bandhgala jackets in velvet or jacquard and mid weight suiting completed the collection.
Narendra Kumar's collection for the coming season is for men who are movers and shakers of the country and those who jet around in international ritzy circles.

Pepe Jeans London is pleased to announce that fronting the advertising campaign for Autumn / Winter 2008 is the actor and tv producer Ashton Kutcher.
After some success in modelling Kutcher moved to Los Angeles and after his first audition was cast as Michael Kelso in the television series That 70s Show which debuted in 1998 and ended in 2006.
He has starred in several comedy films that include Dude, Where's My Car? Just Married, Guess Who,Cheaper By The Dozen,The Butterfly Effect and most recently What Happens In Vegas...Perhaps Kutcher is more renowned for his antics in his own MTV series Punkd.
He is also executive producer for reality TV show Beauty And The Geek aswell as another reality tv show entitled The Real Wedding Crashers.
Female talent is top model Isabeli Fontana. Born in Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil. In 1996 she made it to the finals of the Elite Model Look Contest when she was just 13. Isabeli quickly rose to fame and over the years has modelled for Versace, Ralph Lauren and Valentino and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
The pictures were shot on location at the Zorthian Ranch in Altadena, California. A hippy camp that existed during the 70s and has been completely untouched ever since.

Dubai Fashion 2008, witnessed the collections of some of the most famous designers when the Etoile collection took to the ramp on the second day on Feb 11.
The latest collections of designers like Karl Lagerfield, Christian Dior, Ungaro, Valentino, and Stella Cadente and Michel Klein, both of whom attended the show, featured during day two.
The Etoile collection, represented by the Etoile Group in Dubai, brought to the ramp some exquisite wear in terms of design. The collection reflected the experience of the designers and the elegant spring-summer collection.
About sixty models walked the ramp wearing the etoile collection and the Arena ballroom was a lively combination of colour, sound, and light arrangements. The collection reflected the freedom and the outgoing spirit of the modern woman and the fabrics displayed varied from pure silk to cotton.
